Q: Who pays customs fees and VAT taxes? 

If you are in the European Union or USA, we have a special shipping line that will ship our products via Express air or slow train/sea to our warehouse in the EU/USA which will take care of all customs fees and taxes (meaning you don't pay any of that), and then they are forwarded from within the EU/USA directly to your door, meaning no customs issues at all for you. 

If you are not in the European Union or USA, customs completely depends on your country. With Canada, for example, customs will contact the customer and you will need to pay somewhere around $25 USD in our past experience in order to receive the TiddyToy v3. If you are in a country not in the EU that commonly asks for customs fees, please look out for a call from customs. If you are not able to receive the call or etc from customs, they will return the package to us, and you will need to pay for reshipping it back to you, or receive a refund minus our cost for the original shipping cost (which is almost always over $200 for our larger items).

Q: How long will shipping take?

For the faster shipping option, usually under or around 4 weeks. We can't make exact promises though, especially due to the recent increase in the number of packages being checked at customs and therefore being stuck in a long queue, but also due to common global shipping issues, holiday time rushes, the long Chinese New Year time off for our Chinese factories, and occasional manufacturing slowdowns happening sometimes. Therefore it may take up to 5 or even 6 weeks in rare occasions. 

For the slower shipping option, it usually takes around a month, but due to recent worldwide customs changes, in many cases it can be 2 months, and in rare cases 3 months. In extremely rare cases, for example a customs port is undergoing major political changes, even 8 months is technically possible. There has even been a package stuck in customs at the beginning of the Trumpstoms time of USA where the customer sadly had to wait 7 months. 

Q: Why isn't my tracking info updating? / The package looks like it was never really sent. / Did you give me fake tracking info? 

We do not give fake tracking info, but it can take a long while for the tracking info to update.

For USA and EU orders, they are handed off to our specially selected shipping forwarders. While you will be provided a tracking number, the tracking will NOT update until your regional shipping company has the package in their possession, which is only after the package clears customs. During the time that the shipping forwarder has the package, no tracking information is able to be provided during this part of the trip, but we can ask the shipping forwarder for the status for you if you contact us. The shipping forwarders ship it internationally for a much cheaper price than the major carriers AND take care of customs for you. Yes, the cheaper price is what is listed on our checkout, we do not inflate shipping prices. Major carrier prices are even much more expensive. International shipping of such large and heavy items is extremely expensive, and the major carriers are much more expensive than the costs we supply thanks to our shipping forwarders.

We try to get our products out the door after 4 days (we wait 2 days before manufacturing or shipping in case of cancellations), but in many cases it can take longer before the item is actually shipped, due to factory backlogs, during Chinese New Year, holiday times, and more. Depending on the product you buy, it may take longer to produce because of the manufacturing methods. For example, freckles are usually only applied on Wednesdays, transparent color toys need to wait till one of our color mixing machines is almost empty so we don't waste much material (the machines need complete emptying and cleaning to switch colors from their usual, and we have a limited number of machines), and silicone toys typically take longer to make than others. 

We are not scammers, and TiddyShop employees live worldwide but our office members live in the USA. We and our factories worked together to invent the methods that companies use to make such jiggly toys, but unfortunately never received the recognition for it, because the companies copying us want you to think they engineered the methods themselves. You remember when jiggly gel filled toys suddenly started becoming a popular and common thing? We were the original reason that happened. We understand that trust is one of the most important things when it comes to making such a large purchase. You may also want to start by purchasing one of our smaller items like a pillow case that's made for our TiddyToy v3 if you'd like to experience the shipping times or you're worried about our authenticity. We also never see or collect your payment information, our trusted payment processors (PayPal, Klarna) are the only ones who see such info. 

 

Q: Which shipping company do you use?

The shipping company we use (after the shipping forwarder finishes, or if you live in a country not supported by our shipping forwarders) is selected by us between our options for the country you're in. Usually it will be UPS, FedEx, or DHL, unless these options don't exist in your country, or if a better economical option exists there. Once it reaches the shipping company, in our experience so far, the shipping has been quick, only up to a week. But, we can't promise this, as many factors can change shipping time.

 

Q: Why do I need to provide my phone number during checkout? 

This is only for if the shipping company or customs needs to contact you. We will not contact you via this number unless requested or if the situation in shipping is dire, and we will not share the number with anybody except for shipping purposes.

 

Q: Can I ship to a drop point or post offices?

SHORT ANSWER: NO. 

NO DROP POINTS, P.O. BOXES, POST OFFICES OR PARCEL LOCKERS. If you list an address for one as your shipping address, we are not liable for any problems that may occur with shipping to it.

LONG ANSWER:

When shipping to a UPS, FedEx, or other carrier's drop point, you MUST email us to let us know that the address you are shipping to is UPS or FedEx drop point, specifying which one of them it is, BEFORE you order. We always ship via the best available shipping method for a package, but shipping companies refuse to drop packages off at their competitors, and even drop points hosted at stores only accept specific carriers. So if you specify a shipping address to one of these but do not let us know and the best method was not compatible with the drop point you chose, you will be responsible for the extra cost of forwarding the package to a new location you can accept it at.

If you wait too long to pick up your packages, you'll be responsible for any extra shipping costs incurred to us because of it being sent back and then shipped to you again, and the toy may need to be forfeit if you are unable to pay this!

Q: Can I use my own custom package forwarding service?

You may use your own package forwarder if you'd like, but once it's handed off to your forwarder, we can no longer cover any shipping damages. 

Extra considerations: 
Before choosing a forwarder, ensure that they allow adult products, and check for any size and weight limitations if you are ordering a large toy. Many package forwarders will dispose of your package if you don't follow their rules, and we cannot reimburse you for this.
