Weight can be highly influenced by the type of scale used, its calibration and its accuracy. We use large, high accuracy industrial package weight scales and we calibrate them often. Using a home human weight scale is unlikely to work, unless you are weighing a full size heavy doll, because their accuracy lowers when it is pushed out of the full size human's weight range.
